My personal views on Haiti

kdawggg:

So last night my mother and I were watching the news, and they said that the death toll rate from the aftershock could possibly reach over 100,000. My mom was terrified, I stated that that is a good thing. She looked at me as if I were crazy and that something was wrong with me. I told her, that’s good for us globally, ecologically, and environmentally. Our current population most likely has gone extremely past its carrying capacity, and with every overshoot there is a crash that follows. With the human species it is believed that the crash could be from war, famine, natural disasters, etc. We are already overpopulated, and if our population was to continue growing at this rate, we are in for some big trouble in the future. Resources would be used up, and we would not be able to feed those suffering from hunger, and we already can not feed most of the mouths of us humans, what more in the future? So, it is not that I do not feel bad toward those who have died in Haiti, it’s just that I believe that the fraction of the people we have lost is better for our future. Poverty too is a problem. Those living in poverous countries deplete and degrade our resources and also tend to bear the most children than what is sustainable because they need their offspring to make extra money and work to help support their family. With Haiti being one of the most poverous countries, and it losing a fraction of their people, I believe this is what is beneficial to us. Then my mother brought up the earthquake that happened in China a few years ago, I told her that’s even better; now India needs to receive an impact!

And it was APES that gave me this outlook. The things I learn in that class.

You support population control?

Okay.

Kill yourself.

(poverous isn’t even a fucking word)

is this person being serious?

“Then my mother brought up the earthquake that happened in China a few years ago, I told her that’s even better; now India needs to receive an impact!”

stfu

It sounds like they’re trying to do the same thing to… their class? as this guy is doing to Christianity with this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=urlTBBKTO68

I’m not really sure who they’re targeting if that’s what they’re doing, maybe they’re just trying to get a rise.

“Those living in poverous countries deplete and degrade our resources and also tend to bear the most children than what is sustainable because they need their offspring to make extra money and work to help support their family.”

That’s pure BS. Sure, birthrates are higher in impoverished countries but their standards of living are so low and their population densities are so high that each individual isn’t contributing much to the global ecological problem. You want someone to blame? Blame our own consumption habits in the developed. By their logic, it’d be fantastic if a natural disaster just wiped out the US, the EU, Australia and Japan. Each of us are fucking things up way more than your average Haitian.
